Welcome to the Milngavie and Bearsden camera Club

A non-profit making amateur photographic club based in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The club, despite its name, is about photography rather than cameras. Founded in 1969 the club currently has a mixed male and female membership of approximately 60 members.

MBCC is affiliated to the Glasgow District Photographic Union (GDPU) and the  Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF), which is part of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). These are photographic organisations that promote amateur photography.

The events of the club year are listed on the Syllabus page. Functioning of the club is regulated by the constitution. In addition to club evenings, the club members have access a chemical darkroom and digital facilities. More experienced members of the club will provide help and advice to beginners when needed.

The club meets at 7.30 PM most Tuesday evenings between September and May in the Community Education Centre, Allander Road,  Milngavie. There is a mixed programme of  lectures, competitions including inter-club competitions, informal evenings and to close the session the annual club dinner and trophy presentations. Donald Rennie is currently the Glasgow Area representative for the SPF representing, East Kilbride Camera Club, Hub Singer Camera Club, Milngavie and Bearsden Camera Club, Queens Park Camera Club. The annual membership fee for the year 2007-2008 will be £25.
